Well they say: if you want to kill your dog, give it a bad name. When someone is off the track of "common sense" with regard basic fundamentals of Islam regarding tawheed and its definition, and can not make a sound argument, he/she starts calling the others names, like " u r a wahabi!" similarly like what the Kuffar are calling Muslim, as terrorists, to scare ppl off them and because they can't make a solid argument against them.
If you want to know about Sheikh Mohamed Abdul Wahab, he is just a Muslim sheikh like any other scholar, who happened to be there when graves started to be worshiped in Arabia, by the Soufis et al...he fought against them and "quoted" out what was written in our Aqeedah books about the subject of Tawheed and how Shirk is a major sin...that's all! he didn't come up with anything new....just highlighted what was already there at the first place centries before him....
I Algeria, around the 1930's, a similar sheikh did a similar job to Sh. Abdula Wahab, in fighting the Suffis and grave worshipers, his name is Sh. Abdul Hameed Ben Badis, and similarly, the suffis started calling anyone who opposed the them : Ben Badist!!!! history repeats itself!
